Just to further the admirable attributes and contributions of perennials, even after a few frosts, these steadfast charmers are still blooming! Yarrow has mauve pink nodding heads. Chrysanthemum, replanted in the garden years ago from a Thanksgiving bought pot, has unpruned meandering stems with golden florets. Purple blooms intermittently speckle the lamium. Feverfew still has sprays of miniature daisy flowers. The honey scent of the tansy’s buttery buttons is fading. Catmint, calendula (an annual) and blanket flower bloom on. And those triumphant hardy geraniums just never quit!
