Not Just Brown And Grey

We have had a snowfall or two, but it hasn’t stayed yet.  Late fall can be a focus on brown and grey, but look closer and you will see feisty contributors of green – simple moss, Japanese kerria, boxwood, thyme – brazen plants giving you a jolt of green!  Add to that the silver of money plant seed pods, the purple–red of ground sedum rosettes, and the mauve of blackberry stalks.  And the delightful hidden treasure of a bird nest snuggled in red branches!
